Members of the Manchester campus community gathered to celebrate the grand opening of a new MakerSpace in the Raymond F. Damato Library with LibraryCon on Sept. 19.
Library staff showcased the space through demonstrations and guided tours, highlighting features such as a 3D printer, laser cutter, and Cricut vinyl cutter, along with flexible furniture designed for creative projects.
This newly renovated area and adjacent study pods were made possible through the generous support of the MCC Foundation and the estate of Raymond F. Damato.
The MakerSpace will be open during library hours and will close one hour prior to the library’s closing time. Equipment can be used with staff supervision during walk-in hours, which are Monday through Thursday from 12 noon to 2 p.m. or by appointment.
