The annual Winter Arts Festival showcased the work of Visual and Performing Arts students on Dec. 13. Attendees took in exhibits from drawings and watercolors to large sculptures and ceramic pieces. Music students performed choral and jazz pieces in the auditorium. The art was up until Jan. 22 and taken down to make way for the next exhibit, Homesick, opening Feb. 13.
HOMESICK brings together works by Patricia Miranda, Lauren Be Dear, Angela Zamarelli, Jane Rainwater, and Alicia Renadette into a thoughtful dialogue exploring the multi-layered concept of “home.” A reception and artist panel with a Question and Answer session is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 25, from 6-8 p.m. For more information about the gallery visit https://ctstate.edu/art-galleries/#manchester.
The Spring Arts Festival will take place in May. Until then, enjoy some of the pieces of student-produced art exhibited during the Winter Arts Festival.
