Manchester Little Road Race Attracts Future Athletes

  • Donna Lebon is a long-time Manchester Road Race volunteer, so when it comes to helping out with the Little Road Race she is more than happy to lend a helping hand, driving in from her home in New Hampshire to attend. “Most kids want to go to Disneyland, but not me. I told my Mom and Dad that I wanted to go to the Manchester Road Race, and 30 years later, I still enjoy helping with the race.”

The annual Manchester Road Race on Thanksgiving Day is a premier race in the state. But a week before another event is also highly anticipated: The Manchester Little Road Race!

For the 16th year the race for children 12 and under was held Nov. 22 on the track at Manchester High School.

The cost to enter: two items to donate to the emergency food bank run by the Manchester Area Conference of Churches. 

The reward: a T-shirt and a medal for all 1,000 runners.

There was a rainy drizzle, but the children and their families were excited for the event to begin.
