Snow was still blanketing the ground but inside the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford last month spring had arrived with the annual Connecticut Flower & Garden Show Feb. 19-22. The show featured exhibits from local garden clubs, nurseries and landscaping companies. There were different booths featuring food, plants, knickknacks and other garden features for everyone from the backyard gardener to professionals in the field.
The theme this year for the four-day show was “The Storybook Garden” with fairytale landscapes and themes, each showcasing different plants and techniques.
It was a warm, fragrant reminder that winter won’t last forever!
